Having joined the Investec Property Fund executive management team in August 2012, Andrew Wooler has been instrumental in growing the Fund from R2bn of local assets to its current portfolio comprising R40 billion of direct and indirect real estate investments located across South Africa and Western Europe and a joint venture in Australia with A$450m of equity assets under management. Andrew fulfilled the role of Chief Financial Officer from August 2015 until 01 December 2018 when he became Joint Chief Executive Officer of the Fund. This position is a culmination of Andrew’s commercial, corporate finance and property industry experience, leveraging his skill as a chartered accountant for the benefit of the Fund through all aspects of M&A opportunities, corporate activity, financial structuring and asset positioning to ensure consistent business growth, efficient capital recycling and industry leading returns. Prior to this, Andrew spent 8 years in London where he qualified as a Chartered Accountant, worked in corporate finance and later headed up the team at Caesars Entertainment UK that was responsible for driving profitability and rolling out new business opportunities across the EMEA region.

Claire has 25 years of professional working experience in the interior design industry, working across multiple design environments in corporate workplace, retail, residential, healthcare and education sectors.
She holds a BA Honours Degree from Greenside Design Centre, obtained in 2001. She began her career in commercial interiors, then explored the different world of retail and residential interiors but ultimately returned to her roots in commercial and workplace design. Travelling to Australia in 2007, Claire worked for a large multi-disciplinary practice there for 6 years. This experience helped to grow her personal design style and experience level.
Returning to South Africa in 2012, Claire took on the role of Director at Paragon Interface, going from strength to strength and securing two of the largest fitout projects in the country – namely, the new Head Office for Sasol (67,000m2) and the new Discovery Campus (112,000m2).
Claire is driven by the desire to keep up with global leading trends in both architecture and design, and by the need to push one’s self to look for new and innovative ways to create interior environments that enhance people’s day to day lives and define business cultures. Estienne de Klerk has been involved in banking and listed property for more than 25 years. He is experienced in take-overs, mergers and acquisitions as well as transformation deals and capital raisings. Estienne is a chartered accountant who started his career with the marketing department of Eskom Durban Distribution, followed by roles in banking and property finance with Investec Private Bank. In 2002 he joined Investec Property Group’s property fund management business, which was then building its property funds under management including Metboard Properties Limited and Growthpoint Properties Limited. He was appointed Fund Manager and Executive Director of Metboard, and later went on to become Executive Director and Group Managing Director of Growthpoint before being appointed Chief Executive Officer (SA).
Estienne has always been active in the leadership of the South African property industry and is a well-respected voice for the sector. Estienne is Chairman of the SA REIT Association, of which he is a longstanding member having served on its Exco and as Chairman of its Taxation and Regulatory committee since inception, where he laid the groundwork for the country’s REIT framework. He is a Past President of the South African Property Owners Association (SAPOA) and represented the industry in the Property Sector Charter negotiations.

Nicky received her Masters in Economics from the University of Stellenbosch in 1994 and soon advised government on economic procedures and policies in her capacity as an economist in the Central Economic Advisory Service, which has since been integrated into the President’s Office.
Her experience in the banking, securities and brokering industries has given her a broader knowledge of a wide range of fields within economics, including sector analysis, fixed investment trends, as well as the relationship between real economic trends and developments in the financial markets. Peter Teixeira joined the Democratic Alliance in 2014. During his time as a ward councillor, he served in three mayoral committee (MMC) posts and became the DA’s constituency leader in Midvaal.
He started his schooling at Meyerton Primary School in Meyerton, thereafter he moved to Riverside School. He later went to varsity where he graduated in sport management science.
In September 2021 Teixeira was elected as the mayoral candidate for DA and won the local government elections with an increased majority of 63%. He was sworn in as the mayor of Midvaal Local Municipality on 15 November 2021.

She is a speaker, facilitator and a published author. Her academic background entails a BSc in Computer Science and Statistics, an MBA and a PhD in Business Management from University of Cape Town and she is an alumnus of Singularity University (Executive Programme on exponential technologies).

Renske is responsible for setting and implementing the human capital strategy, optimising human capital performance in line with strategic and operational business goals, as well as setting and managing corporate human resources policies, procedures and guidelines for the group and its various subsidiaries.

Thuli’s current professional role is that of Senior Manager looking after the Indirectly Held Property Investments within the Unlisted Properties Division of the Public Investment Corporation (PIC). She has more than 13 years’ worth of experience within the property industry, and has held various different positions in this time. She also manages the PIC’s Direct Property Investments portfolio in an acting capacity as Senior Manager.
Significant aspects of her roles include the development and implementation of investment strategies that unlock value for clients to ensure the achievement of optimum returns on investments, and the effective structuring and execution of debt and equity finance transactions with specific emphasis on commercial property, as well portfolio management.
Thuli’s education background is in Financial Management and Financial Information Systems, her qualifications were obtained from the Nelson Mandela Metropolitan University and University of South Africa, respectively. She is currently studying towards a Post Graduate Diploma though the Gordon Institute of Business Science, this is part of a broader MBA programme.
Thuli holds directorate roles in two well-established unlisted commercial property companies. She is the National Chairperson of the Women’s Property Network, the organisation’s objective is to contribute positively towards diversity and inclusion of women at all levels of participation within the Property Sector.
